So What is Scribal?

What's up with the name?

Scribal is made up of two words- Scribe and Tribal

A scribe was someone who wrote things down for others in Ancient Near Eastern Times. They had time and abilities to do things that others did not and they offered their services for the advancement of the Kingdom. That’s what I do.

Tribal adds the element of the Tribe. We live in a tribal culture which means that each area where churches have their own cultural, or tribal, eccentricities. So anything written for those people needs to be tailored to their tribe.

So Scribal does that. We get your event or curriculum idea, an understanding of your tribal situation, and produce interactive, written materials to hit your tribe where they live with the Truth of the Kingdom.

How does that happen?

First, we’ll want to hear about your event or curriculum need. What is the scriptural focus of the event? Is it a verse, a doctrine, a character? Second, we’ll want to hear about your post-event vision? Are you hoping for broken addictions? Do you want to see an explosion of evangelism? Do you want people serving the community? Third, we need to understand your tribe. We can accomplish this one of three ways. One, you can tell us about them. Two, you can provide us with phone numbers of several key people in your tribe that we can interview and get a picture of the tribe. Third, we can come to your tribe and spend the day observing and interviewing. Depending on the event, we will advise you of the best option, but all three are always available- depending on the time frame we are working with and the proximity of your tribe to Oklahoma City.

What do I get?

You get a custom designed curriculum piece with full reproduction rights within your tribe. All curriculum will be tailored for your event and your tribe, written in a way that will speak to your tribe, and will be written with a high degree of contextual biblical accuracy so that your tribe is learning Truth and not heresy.
